Events

Synchrony will assist church leaders in developing an integrated vision of preschool, children’s, youth, and college ministries working collaboratively.   The event is for age-group ministers and other discipleship/education ministers.  During the event, leaders will be introduced to developing a discipleship plan for these ministries and work in groups to contextualize the information presented.

The Senior Adult Day Retreat is a day of worship, speakers, and fellowship.  The purpose is to encourage and renew Senior adults in their spiritual walk.

Ninth through twelfth grade Miss. Southern Baptist church students audition and interview each fall for positions with the choir and orchestra. The following summer, those who are selected attend a three-day rehearsal camp and a six-day concert tour and home concert in Miss. churches.

The Annual Meeting for the Southern Baptist Convention is meeting in New Orleans, LA, in the Convention Center.

HeartSong is a worship and arts camp for 6-12 grade students that meets one week in the summer of each year. HS continues to expand in its mission to help our young people mature as disciples of Jesus Christ, using a variety of gifts and abilities for His glory.

Summer Music & Arts Camp for Kids is specially designed for today’s 3rd-6th graders.

Launch 2023 is a new event focusing on student disciple-making. As Mississippi Baptists, we believe that God has uniquely gifted and called you and your students to be the conduit of his gospel message. The goal of Launch 2023 is to train students to be evangelistic in all the spheres of life where God has placed them. The weekend event will include inspiration, training, and encouragement. This event is focused on grades six through twelve.

Equipping Leaders is a training event for Men and Women’s Discipleship Ministries as well as WMU and age-graded Missions Disicpleship (RA, GA, Challengers, and Acteens) as well as Adult Missions Discipleship groups.

The Church Safety for Minors Workshop is a comprehensive training that describes an effective safety system protecting children and youth from sexual abuse in the church and other ministry environments.
