The Church Safety for Minors Workshop is a comprehensive training that describes an effective safety system protecting children and youth from sexual abuse in the church and other ministry environments.

The Mississippi Baptist Young Musicians Honor Choir is an auditioned choir for students in grades 4-6 chosen from all over Mississippi.  It is a weekend that includes choral singing, worship arts activities, a worship concert on Saturday night and participation in the host church’s worship experience on Sunday morning. Auditions are done by video and submitted every spring for the weekend in the fall.

Church orchestra members and adult instrumentalists are invited to be a part of MBSO.  Following a Sunday afternoon rehearsal and supper, the orchestra presents a full concert during the evening worship service.  If you are interested in becoming a part of MBSO, call the Worship Ministries at 601-292-3267 or e-mail your name, church membership, instrument, and part you prefer to play to cwtaylor@mbcb.org.

The Annual Meeting for the Mississippi Baptist Convention will be held October 24-25 at FBC Jackson.
